501 Streetcar Food Tour — a tasty way to travel

What a great way to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon: taking the 501 Streetcar Food Tour across Queen Street. I never really thought about just how many neighbourhoods Queen Street passes through. So I loved the idea of riding the streetcar to several of the different neighbourhoods on its path and getting off and sampling some of the tasty fares in each. There’s nothing better than exploring our different neighbourhoods and being introduced to new eateries that you might not have come across yet on your own.

We had such a great day: The weather was perfect. The food was delicious (we were totally stuffed by the end of the tour). And the little bits of trivia, history, and suggestions for other places to check out in each neighbourhood that the Foodies on Foot guides gave us, made for a fantastic afternoon. By the end of the 4 hours I totally felt like I was on vacation!!

Without spoiling the tour for you, here’s just a little sampling of what you might see and taste on it:
