One of my favourite shows to watch is House Hunters International. I love getting that little glimpse into the lifestyles and properties of other cities and cultures around the world. One day when I was watching an episode of it, it got me to wondering: how does Toronto’s real estate market actually compare against other major cities, like New York, London, Paris, etc…?
So after doing a little digging I looped into Numbeo, an online, user-contributed database that provides information on the cost of living in major global cities. According to Numbeo, here’s how we stack up based on a 1 Bedroom Apt located in the city centre:
