This past weekend, Toronto hosted the first ever North American Flyboard Championship. Flyboarding is the newest extreme watersport where riders (pilots) are thrust into the air via high pressurized water that shoots out beneath a board tethered to their feet. (The water is pumped to the board via a long rubber hose connected to a jet ski.)
It’s wild to see! They totally looked like superheroes emerging from the water! But there was also this incredible fluid ballet quality with the hose and spray of water following along behind each trick.
If you ever get a chance, it’s totally worth checking out! Just be prepared for the long-ish wait times between pilots.
