Toronto Christmas Market Offers Old World Festivity and Charm

There’s nothing better than an outdoor Christmas Market to get you in the spirit of the season! And Toronto’s Christmas Market has been ranked by Fodor’s Travel and Mashable as one of the world’s 10 best markets!

I love going to the Distillery District any time, but its appeal is even more enhanced when the sights, sounds and tastes of the Christmas Market are added to it. Although I always manage to go on what feels like the coldest day possible, there is still something very wonderful about wandering around the market sipping a warm drink, perusing the wares of the different booths and stores, and sampling the variety of tasty treats available. Add in the caroling and holiday tunes playing all around you, and you can’t help but leave feeling a little more festive (especially if you’ve indulged in the Beer Garden with its offering of mulled wine, hot rum beverages, European Christmas cocktails and a plethora of beer options!).

Just remember that it is an outdoor market – so dress warm! It’s really hard to embrace the charm when you’re feeling cold (trust me!)!

Thanks so much! That’s great that you’re going to be in the city this week! I love the Distillery District – whether there’s an event happening there or not, it’s just a beautiful and unique part of the city! So many great eateries and shops in there as well. I hope you have a fantastic time while you’re here and at the reunion!
      Take care,
      Carole
